Hi Everybody,

Since I know not everybody has had a chance to see one of my concerts, I wanted to let you know that I had a DVD-recording session and the results are now on YouTube! The videos are really high quality. Unfortunately sound recordings of the carillon tend not to capture it properly -- this is not just my opinion, but that of numerous people who have come to a concert and then listened to a recording of that same concert. So if you have the opportunity, I still recommend that you come check it out live. But until then -- please enjoy!

One request -- part of my work is to promote the instrument and raise awareness. Right now, only 4 of the first 20 results on a youtube search for "carillon" actually feature carillons. This makes it hard for people who might hear about the instrument to learn about it online. I've watched a lot of carillon videos on youtube, and I think that mine are some of the best out there. Watching these videos will help them rise in page rank, but there are several other things you can do to really make them take off:

1. If you have a youtube account (or are willing to set one up, a free 2 minute process - http://www.youtube.com/create_account), make sure you're signed in to your account.

2. While watching any of my videos:
a. rate it: click on the rightmost of the 5 stars below the video to give it the top rating.
b. click on the word "favorite", also below the video.
c. scroll down to the end of the comments section and leave a comment. Any comment.

You can do these things while the video is playing and it will help to provide good footage of the carillon to people who are looking for it.


Finally, while I don't want you to forward indiscriminately, if you have friends who you think might particularly enjoy seeing one or more of these videos, I'd love it if you would share them with them.
